ELECTION: Blind Octogenarian seeks peaceful Nigeria

An 81-year-old physically challenged retired soldier, Michael Arogunmola on Saturday called for a peaceful democratic transition.

Arogunmola on Saturday said that, his love for democracy has motivated him to participate in the ongoing elections.

He expressed delight been alive and heathy to be part of the 2023 election, said, ' I feel exceedingly great today that I am voting because I have always liked democracy.

The blind octogenarian said, " I am part of the soldiers that fought for civil war, and it was not a palatable experience which I don't want it to happen again,".

Arogunmola also urged youths to be focused, hardworking and be honest in all their dealings, while they should as much as they can maintain their family names.
