Enmity to spouse, hatred and its eternal consequences:

The King's Wife As His Foe:

Good morning and Jum'uah Mubarak. May Almighty God continue to bless us, our immediate and extended families and the good people of Lagos State. Ameen!

Once again, i use this opportunity to commiserate with the good people of Lagos State and the Lagos State Government on the train crash with the staff bus, which resulted in loss of lives and injuries to civil servants on their way to work. May Almighty God comfort us all in this time of grief. Ameen.

OLORI MORENIKE ABENI ANIMASHAUN'S PRESS CONFERENCE AS DEPUTY GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE OF SDP AND APC INTERMEDDLESOMENESS - THE VERIFIABLE FACTS:

1. She, Olori Oba Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) was introduced to me by Mrs. Tinu Abiola, who is based in the FCT, Abuja. At that time, we, as a political party was in search of a suitable candidate for office of Dep. Governor.

2. We wanted a young, dynamic Christian lady to compliment me, a Muslim. Olori's daughter was the one initially recommended.

3. She, Olori Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) informed us that her daughter just got appointment with the Lagos State Government and will not be able to be Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party.

4. I met Olori Morenike Abeni Animashaun in Epe and i considered her too elderly for the office and not being an indigene of Epe in Lagos State and informed her accordingly.

5. She, Olori Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) informed me that she had a political score to settle with her husband, the Oloja of Epe, who had humiliated her and her son politically.

Further, that her son was the choice for local government Chairman in Epe and a popular choice, but was denied the ticket by the King, his father.

Also, that in preference to her (biological) son, His Royal Majesty endorsed his sister (by another mother) who is the current Chairman, Epe Local Government.

She Further said that the endorsement was humiliation for herself and her biological children and it was time to deal decisively with the King.

I informed her that this was cruel, bad and unkind, but she insisted and time was running out.

6. Mrs. Tinu Abiola supported the choice on the ground that she was popular in her Church and will be a political asset to the Social Democratic Party in Lagos State.

Mrs. Tinu Abiola also nominated her biological son, Olakunle Kosile for House of Assembly in Ikeja Constituency.

7. Prior to the meeting with the Olori, the INEC records will show that a more humane choice was submitted to INEC as Dep. Governorship Candidate, SDP.

8. I had only met Olori Oba Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) thrice in my life. First, in Epe. Second, when she came for photos-shoot in a studio at Ajah and thirdly when she rode in my car to convince me that the poster should carry "Fasuyi" and not "Animashaun", because of unbearable pressure from the Palace

i). To the best of my knowledge, she had not contributed N1 (one Naira) to the SDP in Lagos State.
ii). She, Olori Oba Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) had never attended any political meeting.
iii). At a point there was a frenzy that her campaign poster should bear "Fasuyi" not "Animashaun" due to pressure from the King.
iii). She alleged that HRM Oba Animashaun is a member of the APC and his daughter Chairman, Epe Local Government.
iv). The SDP Lagos State asked her to write a formal letter to INEC relinquishing her candidacy but she was dodgy, evasive and uncooperative.

Even, the National Vice-Chairman of the Party made the same demand and she still refused, until the INEC window to replace was closed.

9. THE ANNOUNCEMENT:

a). As Breaking News, the SDP learnt of the defection of the Olori on LAGOS FOCUS, a platform administered by Mr. Fagbodun, which is constituted by prominent Lagos State bureaucrats, including HRM the King of Epe.
b). A further post was made surprisingly by Mr. Olakunle Kosile (son of Mrs.Tinu Abiola), who is our candidate for House of Assembly Elections on the Official Social Democratic Party platform.

The frenzied excitement of the APC Lagos State on this matter is befuddling and amounts to political intermeddlesomeness in our affairs as a political party.

The forthcoming Gubernatorial Elections in Lagos State has generated a lot of tribal sentiments and we should be wary of "the Ides of March" as advised by William Shakespeare in "Julius Ceaser".

The SDP in Lagos State is not desperate to win Elections at all cost, but are offering good choices for the people of Lagos State, who are empowered to make their choice.

CONCLUSION.

Olori Oba Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) was never an asset to the Party. Mrs. Tinu Abiola introduced her and insisted that she was a good choice despite her age.

There is a process and procedure in the INEC Regulations for Olori Oba Morenike Abeni Animashaun (Nee Fasuyi) to follow and time is of essence.

We wish HRM Oba Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe Kingdom a glorious reign; we urge the APC, Lagos State Chapter to stop intermeddlesomeness in our affairs; dirty politicking is not the hallmark of a good Party.

Let us all campaign without acrimony and mutual respect one for the other as we "Beware The Ides of March"
