Some times You Find the Living Among the Dead and the Dead Among the Living

The Life and Times of Miss Chinyere Udenkwo Lawyer and Academic, who worked with Douglas Ogbankwa Law Firm and died in the morning of 23rd of September,2024 , can be aptly captured in the words of Julius Caesar , which was depicted in a letter by him to the Roman Senate ,after one of his many victories at war around 47 BC , thus :

*Veni, Vidi, Vici: ‘I Came, I Saw, I Conquered’*

Indeed Miss Chinyere Udenkwo may be dead , but she lives on .This is because some times , you find the living among the dead and the dead among the living.The essence of your person is not whether you are living or dead ,but your positive effect on those around you , whether in life or in death .When you sleep you practice how to die , as the difference between life and death is breath .

It was *J.K. Rawlings* ,the British Novelist of the Harry Potter fame that posited thus:

*To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure*

This actually captures the trajectory of Miss Chinyere Udenkwo , a young lady who before his final demise distinguished herself in her chosen profession of law , just as she distinguished herself in her LLM Class in the Prestigious Post Graduate School of the Faculty of Law , University of Benin, Benin City.

Miss Chinyere Udenkwo will not just be remembered for her legal acumen, but more for her benevolence , fidelity to cause and loyalty in good and in bad times .


There is no doubt that Miss Chinyere Udenkwo is with the Angels in paradise.

*What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal*.I am eternally grateful to Miss Chinyere Udenkwo for all she did for my office and person .They are profound deeds that transcends generations .

Biographies and Autobiographies ,some times are filled with lies and half truths .Achieving Immortality is writing your name in gold in the hearts of men .This Miss Chinyere Udenkwo has done effortlessly in her life time .She did good , not because she expected it in return from you , she did good because , she was good by nature .

You may have dead young dear Chinyere, but your good deeds will be remembered for ever , even while some who die old will be easily forgotten.

It was Abraham Lincoln former American President that said :

*It is not the years in your life that matters , but the life in your years*

You will be sorely missed Miss Chinyere Udenkwo and we pray that God should comfort your family, especially your elder sister in Benin who showed great care and affection for you even in the most extenuating circumstances.


It was Norman Cousin that said :

*Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live*

Let me conclude this piece by penning a poem for you dear Miss Chinyere Udenkwo, you may be dead , but you live in our hearts for ever .


You are not just an unforgettable ,
You are an irreplaceable ,
Your character is seen only among angels ,
Oh!You have gone to be with the angels ,
I know you are heaven ,
On earth here you created by your deeds for your kith and kin heaven ,
You were a lady with a large heart ,
That thought not for any one bad ,
Still you lived a Spartan life ,
Making people Happy was your major like ,
You were indeed a giver
You life was like the benign flow of a river,
You will be sorely missed ,
