1 hour to the end of NBA 2020 NATIONAL ELECTIONS
Olumide Akpata remains in consistent lead now polling a total number of 9518 votes

*Dele Adesina calls for cancellation of election describing same as a "sham"*

Many lawyers are in high spirit as the 2020 election of the Nigerian Bar Association is gradually winding down with about one hour to the end of the election which began about 24 hours ago.
Breakdown of the Electoral figures are:
Olumide Akpata consistently leads with 9,345 votes in his favour amountig to 54.3% votes already cast
Other contenders for the office of NBA President are Dr. Babatunde Ajibade (SAN) and Mr Dele Adesina (SAN) both polling a total of 4174 and 3868 votes respectively at the moment.
So far, a total number of 17560 votes have tallied with 49 abstentions from 17617 ballots
The position of NBA 1st Vice President sees Mr John Aikpokpo Martin's leading with 5825
The position of NBA second Vice President sees Mr Adeyemo Kazeem leading with 8480 votes
The position of General Secretary has Mrs Joyce Oduah leading with 8652
The position of Assistant Secretary presents two tough contenders Uchenna Nwadialo Anne Agi, with Nwadialo currently having a total number of 7038
Mr Olukunle Edun is currently blazing the trail in his contest for the office of welfare Secretary with a total number of 8677 votes
Dr. Rapulu Ernest Nduka has currently pulled a whooping number of 11,572 votes in aiming for the position of NBA Publicity Secretary.
The posiion of Assistant Publicity Secretary sees Mr Naza Afam currently polling a total number of 6275 votes
Voting is expected to come to an end by 11p.m
Meanwhile, Mr Dele Adesina, SAN, one of the Presidential candidates has called for the cancellation of the election, describing it as “a sham"
This is contained in a letter signed by him, written to the ECNBA Chairman which was seen by Lawparliament
