SHOLA ABILOYE FCARB: SPIDEL CONFERENCE HAS DELIVERED ON ITS PROMISE.

The media space in the past few weeks had been awash with publicity for the Spidel Conference. We were promised the very best and we got the very best. The panelists at the sessions cut across all sectors and contributed richly to the discussion.

The Premier Bar was well represented with a good number of our members delivering excellent and insightful papers in their various sessions.

The conference being the first physical conference in a while was well attended as conferees from different branches used the opportunity to connect, network and interact. There were parties, mini hangouts and clubbing to match the excellent sessions and give conferees the opportunity to unwind.

Dr. Babatunde Ajibade SAN made good on his promise at the last branch meeting as he hosted a good number of conferees from the branch and beyond to a sumptuous lunch at the Polo Club Ibadan. I must also thank Chairman Emeritus, Chukwuka Ikwuazom SAN who invited some of us to share drinks with him.

I must commend the Nigerian Bar Association and its Section on Public Interest and Development Law for this well organized conference. Special mention to the effervescent Emeka Nwadioke who practically captured every moment and scene at the conference and shared on our platforms for those who could not attend to feel the pulse of the conference.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Ibadan with the excellent sessions and the social events. I plan to attend more Spidel Conference and events in the future.

I wish all Conferees a safe trip back to their respective destination.
