As we commemorate International Women’s Day Today, the 8th of March 2025, let us, as lawyers in Nigeria, join the global call to *Accelerate Action* for gender equality.

*Today, I, celebrate the remarkable achievements of women, particularly within our legal profession. We acknowledge the indispensable contributions of women lawyers in strengthening our justice system and enriching Nigerian society.*

*This International Women's Day serves as a powerful reminder of the progress made, but more importantly, it underscores the urgent need to *accelerate action* towards true gender parity. Let us seize this opportunity to renew our commitment to building an environment where every woman can flourish, contribute fully, and realise her potential without prejudice or discrimination.

We must actively champion equal opportunities, challenge gender stereotypes, and resolutely support initiatives that empower women in leadership. By working in concert, we can *accelerate action* to create a more just, equitable, and inclusive society for all.
