EASTERN BAR FORUM TO HOLD COLLOQUIUM ON NIGERIA’S FEDERALISM AND STATE LEGISLATIVE POWERS

The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) is set to host a high-profile Colloquium with the theme: "Nigeria's Federalism & State Legislative Powers: Concurrent Matters Viewed from a Sub-National Perspective."

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State by 10:00 AM and will precede the 1st Quarterly Meeting of the Forum for 2025.

The Colloquium will be chaired by Distinguished Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, while the Guest Speaker will be Dr. Ben Urochi Odo, Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ebonyi State.

The Guest of Honour for the event will be Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, President of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Panel of Discussants:

Soseipiriye Long Williams, Esq. – Legal Practitioner and Past Chairman of the Governing Council of the Eastern Bar Forum.

Anietie Inyang, Esq. – Director of Civil Litigation Department, Ministry of Justice, Akwa Ibom State.
