Versatility, Numerical Literacy, Specialisation and Unending Pursuit for Knowledge: Key Emphases at the J-K Gadzama LLP's 10th Hon. Justice Chukwudifu Oputa JSC (Rtd) Mentoring Program for Young Lawyers
For the past decade, J-K Gadzama LLP has shown its commitment to nurturing the next generation of legal minds through its various mentoring initiatives. One of such is the Hon. Justice Chukwudifu Oputa JSC (Rtd) Annual Professional Training and Mentoring Programme for Young Lawyers, in its 10th edition this year.
The programme, which was free for lawyers within 0-9 years post-call, featured a lineup of distinguished speakers from both the bar and the bench. Participants indulged in insightful discussions equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to excel in their careers.
The event, which was chaired by Honourabe Justice Tijjani Abubakar, JSC, had Prof. Maxwell Gidado, SAN, OFR, as the Keynote Speaker.
The host, J-K Gadzama, SAN, highlighted the pivotal role of continuous learning and development in achieving a fulfilling life, drawing from his personal commitment to daily knowledge acquisition. He also noted that this mentoring initiative has been a groundbreaking endeavour in Nigeria, setting a standard for professional development in the legal profession.
The event hosted a number of other renowned speakers such as Mrs. Fatima Lawan Muhtar Esq., Dr. Steven Andzenge, MON, Ms. Prada Uzodimma Esq. and Mr. Oluniyi Adediji, ACTI, who addressed the participants – sharing, extensively, their insights and expertise on diverse areas of law and the importance of starting strong in the legal profession.
Through the interactive sessions, the speakers further addressed the teeming curiosities of the participants, ensuring that every participant left the event highly motivated and better enlightened.
