The Nigerian Law Society (NLS) has emerged as a transformative force in the Nigerian legal landscape, offering a fresh and professional alternative for legal practitioners who are committed to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and the rule of law.

Established in 2022, the NLS is a society of lawyers enrolled as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The Society is dedicated to promoting excellence, professionalism, and the rule of law in Nigeria, with a vision to create a future where justice is accessible to all. Its mission is to assist lawyers in delivering their professional and social responsibilities for the achievement of a just and egalitarian society.

The NLS was born out of a need for an alternative professional association that prioritises transparency, accountability, and the welfare of its members. The Society is committed to:

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to all lawyers enrolled as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Law graduates and students of law faculties accredited by the Council of Legal Education in Nigeria are also welcome to join as Associate Members.
