PROFILE OF SIR. OAIKHENA OSAGIE, NBA CANDIDATE FOR NATIONAL WELFARE SECRETARY.

Sir. Oaikhena Osagie. hails from Edo State. He was called to the Nigerian Bar on the 5th day of October, 2011. He is an active member of the Benin Branch of the NBA (Lion Bar).

Academic Qualifications: He holds a Diploma in Law, B.A Hons International Studies, LL.B Hons, B.L, LL.M and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria.

Contribution to the Bar: He has been a member of the NBA Benin Branch Executive Committee, and was a two time Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum Benin Branch. He is a member of the NBA-SBL, NBA-SLP, and other law related associations, including the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Oaikhena Osagie has served in various Committees of the NBA Benin Branch.

Contribution to the Law: Oaikhena Osagie is the Principal Partner A.O. Osagie & Associates (AVE MARIA CHAMBERS) with head office in Benin City, Edo State and branch in New Market Road, Onitsha, Anambra State. He is a human rights lawyer and has the zest in fundamental rights and taxation laws. He has in the past contested for the office of National Welfare Secretary of NBA but lost to the incumbent Welfare Secretary. He is compassionate but resilient in his pursuit. He is a Roman Catholic Knight, a Civil Rights Activist and has led several protests against Government Impunity in Nigeria and Believes Strongly in Free Speech.
