Wale Irokosu endorses Yemi Akangbe SAN For NBA President

I wish to unreservedly endorse Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe for election as the next President of the Nigerian Bar Association.

This is not because he is my friend but because of his verifiable and credible track record of achievements; clarity of plans for lawyers' welfare; consistency; and, the paradigm and generational change in leadership that he represents.

Frankly speaking, Yemi is running to undo the damage done to the welfare programmes implemented between 2020-2022 under the Olumide Akpata's NBA presidency. He wants to institutionalize them so no successive NBA President would set them aside unilaterally, without the National Executive Council of the NBA.

Even before going to the polls for the 2026 election, Yemi has forced the other two senior contenders to present and compete on their respective lawyers welfare plans. He's forcing everyone to run on their records and not on promises. Watching from the ringside, I am more convinced of his suitability for the post with the zeal and passion that he has exhibited in his campaign for the welfare of lawyers. Not a few are in awe of his commitment to the betterment of others based on unsolicited testimonials .

Once again, vote Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe for a Nigerian Bar Association that works for all.
