why I stand with Olumide Akpata

We are at a time when there's a rising spate of disenchantment with the utility and relevance of the NBA amongst her members in particular, and the public in general, due to its perceived failure to emphatically discharge its core duties of acting as a watchdog for democracy, protecting and promoting the rule of law on the one hand, as well as protecting and improving the welfare of her members on the other hand.

But there's a reassuring brilliant ray of hope in the emergence of Olumide Akpata as the next NBA president. Olu has a proven track record for efficiency and excellence in discharging his duties and achieving desired results. He has a very clear grasp of the solutions to the numerous deficiencies bedevilling the NBA and has laid out a practical and workable blueprint to tackle these issues in short-term, mid-term and long-term.

Olumide Akpata's four-point agenda, just as the four cardinal points of the earth is fundamental to the earth's geography and navigation, shows a clear mastery of the essence and purpose of the NBA, shows the visceral roadmap to resuscitating and repositioning the NBA, and is also a veritable and viable blueprint that other NBA presidents after him can utilise in sustaining and consolidating on the reforms Olu would entrench at the NBA.

Olu has the most recent and relevant experience of leadership at the NBA and I have no iota of doubt in me that he shall reposition the NBA to be a source of pride to her members and the nation at large.

That is why I stand with Olumide Akpata to be the next President of the NBA.
